Do you have a patient in trouble?
If you are a general pracitioner or specialist and have a patient that needs a veterinary behavior consult, we are happy to help. We are committed to keeping you in the loop with all stages of your patients' care. In order to provide excellent continuity of care, you will receive a summary of your patients' appointments with us by fax and mail. We will also call you after the appointment to give you a short summary and make sure that you are on board with the plan.
If you are referring a case to us, it is best if you have seen the patient for a physical examination recently. It is also helpful for behavior patients to have screening laboratory work (CBC, chemistry, urinalysis, and thryoid assessment) before their appointments, but this is not a requirement. If you fax medical records to us at 646-434-1361, we will review them before the appointment.
If you are not sure if a patient needs to see a veterinary behaviorist, please don't hesitate to call or email Dr. C so that she can discuss the case with you. If you or your client do not live within the NYC metro area and require a phone consultation, please let us know so that we can make arrangements to provide remote support.
